Welcome to Current Camper!

My name is Doug Parker the creator of Current Camper, and I’m just starting to embark on an outdoor journey in my 22-foot Travel Lite camper.

About Me

I’m Jacksonville, Florida born and raised and first entered the blogging world as a way to answer travel questions for my friends back in 2009.

My day job is a producer for Cruise Radio, a syndicated vacation focused travel show and website. The outlet started as a blog in 2009 and has grown into a leading cruise industry resource.

When I’m not in the studio, you can find me outdoors seeking the next active adventure. Some of my favorite outdoor activities are training for runs, taking road trips in my camper, and hitting the ski slopes in Utah.

What is “Current Camper”?

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no expert in this area, in fact, I recently just bought my first camper to travel around the country.

The articles you’ll find on the site are questions I personally had embarking on this adventure. Through lots of research and applying them to real-life scenarios, I’ve documented the journey.

Be on the lookout from everything from outdoor travel tips, roadside stops, to even learning the basics like how to dump a black and grey water tank.

This is going to be a work in progress and hopefully will evolve over time, but in the meantime enjoy. Please reach out of you have any suggestions for questions.

Thanks for stopping by,

Doug Parker
